The materiality of products are becoming more important for the consumer and their relations to the products they use. I started taking ceramics classes to better understand the material and its properties and instantly fell in love. There is a big opportunity in design to mix hand building with 3d technology. In my exploration of 3d modeling, slip casting and hand building I have experimented with a couple projects at Xiem Clay Center in Pasadena.
